"We have scaled back some on employee hours, and I've worked more myself. We work to offer more sales to help get people to come in. We're service-oriented, we fill needs, so we're emphasizing our services more."

Small corporation owner:
"We've eliminated bonuses, cut some executive salaries, and frozen wages."

Retail shop owner:
"We've done some giveaways, let organizations use space in our building, offered some free services."
