7th grade boys roll to win in finale

NEW SHARON - Montezuma's seventh graders had plenty left in their tank as they raced to a 30-21 victory over North Mahaska on Monday, Feb. 1.

"Seth Fahlenkamp had a superb game, leading us with nine points, four steals and two assists," coach Mark Thomsen said.

"I was proud of the way the boys played in this game. They took care of the ball, played excellent team defense and were able to get a lot of teammates involved."

"It probably was the best they played all year and they saved it for the last game!" Thomsen said.

Montezuma 30, North Mahaska 21
