8th grade boys improve record to 7-1 
Jan. 28, 2010

Monetezuma's eighth grade boys basketball team pushed its record to 7-1 with a 58-33 run past Sigourney on Wednesday evening, Jan. 27.

"We started out erractic, but after the boys calmed down they started to get into the flor of the game," coach Mark Thomsen said. "I was proud of the way we kept it together. We stayed positive, got everyone involved and won as a team."

"Special recognition should go out to Danny Bass, who scored his first bucket," the coach said. "Great job!"

Kane Barker scored 18 points and Logan Battreall had 13 for the Braves.

NEXT UP - Montezuma hosts Tri-County on Thursday, Jan. 28.
