7th grade Hawkettes catch and pass Bravettes

Montezuma couldn't make a good start hold up as Lynnville-Sully came from behind and scored a 28-27 victory in seventh grade girls basketball action on Wednesday, Jan. 18 in Montezuma.

The Bravettes led 8-1 after one quarter and 14-9 at halftime, but the Hawkettes outscored Montezuma 19-13 to take the one-point victory.

Mackenzie James scored 12 points and had seven steals for the Bravettes, who are 5-2 on the season.

NEXT UP - The Bravettes host English Valleys on Wednesday, Jan. 20.
