Sometimes the scoreboard calls you a "loser," but you know in your heart the board is a liar.

Meskwaki beat Montezuma 51-47 in an entertaining boys junior varsity game on Wednesday night in which players from both sides gave it a full effort.

Montezuma led by 10 points at halftime, but had trouble containing Meskwaki's power in close to the basket in the late going.

A total of eight Braves put points on the board for Montezuma, probably a high water mark for the season.
