Todd Price, a licensed taxidermist, knows how much hunting enthusiasts enjoy re-living their experiences. He’s a lifelong hunter himself.

Creating quality, lifelike mounts is “something I have wanted to do since I was a kid,” he says.

Todd specializes in deer heads. When you study his work, the detail jumps out at you. Eyes and noses look wet. Ears are positioned well. Noses have texture.

“Looks are important,” Todd says.

Price uses quality materials and painstaking care. He wants to make sure your trophy will last a long time. “I enjoy giving people something they can be proud of,” he said.

Todd is located in rural Montezuma, Iowa, about halfway between Des Moines and Iowa City. Lower overhead away from the big city results in savings that Todd is happy to pass on to you.

Todd attends seminars and studies the latest materials to upgrade his skills.

If you bag a deer and want it mounted, Todd advises to have it skinned from the shoulders forward and get it to him as soon as possible. “Or freeze it within 24 to 36 hours,” he said. Price’s Taxidermy will do the rest to keep your memories alive!
